Fell down the basement steps when younger. It knocked me out, don't know how long. Very peaceful, not afraid of death anymore. Might be off subject. Next time the devil might get me, hope not lol.

Thinly veiled attempt to legitimize the actions of people entering the country illegally

It was actually a Christian parable... in the original story, the man used the water to prime the pump while praying to God, and God provided.

If you saw a parallel then that's on you...

I would drink the water urinate in the bottle and then prime the pump.

I would drink the water and hope for the best. Death will come sooner or later anyway.

I would drink the bottle of water the Lord had provided and have faith he could fill it up again

I read an anecdote, and it led me to what I think is an interesting question.

You're lost in the desert. It's been several days, and you've found no food or water. You know in your heart that if you don't find water soon then you will die.

You cross a dune and see a small hut

You rush to the hut and find it deserted, but you see a hand pump in the middle of the hut! You run over and begin pumping... but nothing comes out. You have no idea how long it has been there, or whether the water source from below has long dried up.

Just as you give up, you see a bottle of water on the counter. You rush to it, and find that there's a note on the bottle: "Use this water to prime the hand pump, and don't forget to refill it."

Do you drink the water in the bottle, or follow the instructions and use it to prime the hand pump?
